The Equestrian Greyhound ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data, in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
The Equestrian Greyhound is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom, selling children's magazines and related products through our online store and at in-person events/pop-ups.

2. What information we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we may collect:
- Order details: name, email address, shipping address, and phone number (if provided)
- Payment information: processed securely by PayPal — we do not store your card details ourselves
- Website usage data: collected automatically through our website platform, Wix (see Section 4 below)
- Correspondence: any information you share with us via email or social media when you contact us
3. How we use your information
We use your personal data only to:
- Process and dispatch your order
- Communicate with you about your order (confirmations, tracking, delivery updates)
- Respond to questions or issues you raise with us
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations (e.g. record-keeping for HMRC)
We do not currently send marketing emails or newsletters. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and only contact you for marketing purposes with your consent.

5. Sharing your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your data with:
- Wix, our website and e-commerce platform, to process and manage orders
- Paypal, to process payments securely
- Royal Mail, to deliver your order
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their service and have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.
6. Where your data is stored
We do not keep a separate customer database or spreadsheet. Your data is stored only within Wix and PayPal, both of which have their own security measures in place.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep order and transaction records for as long as required by UK law for accounting and tax purposes (currently a minimum of 5 years after the relevant tax year, in line with HMRC requirements).
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (where we are not legally required to keep it, e.g. for tax records)
- Object to how your data is used
- Lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

9. Children's privacy
While our magazines are designed for children, our online store is intended to be used by parents/guardians making purchases on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.
